Summer Nights
120 x 80 x 5 cm

Now that the days are getting longer and the sun is shining, I find myself inspired by a Cycladic sunset, just after the sun has dipped below the horizon, as the clouds reflect stunning shades of red and violet from the last traces of light.
I am currently thinking about our next trip to Greece, trying to choose from the many beautiful islands still on my bucket list. The sunsets there are truly magical, and I’m already picturing myself sitting back with a glass of wine, watching the last light fade over the sea.
Many people see neurons in this painting. Has my background in Neuroscience subconsciously found its way into this painting? Maybe! What do you see, flowers or neurons, or both?
