Winter to Spring

50 x 70 x 2 cm

Acrylics on canvas. Finished with a satin varnish.

Autumn and winter have never truly been my seasons. Winter holds its charm when snow turns the world into a quiet wonderland, yet my soul longs for the longer days, golden light, and gentle warmth of spring and summer. There is something magical about those first days of spring—when the air feels different, the colors return, and life begins to stir again.

"Winter to Spring" was born from that longing. Layer upon layer of paint builds a textured landscape, capturing the shift from cold stillness to vibrant renewal. Between the fresh, blooming tones, deep blue fragments quietly emerge—glimpses of the Greek summer sea, shimmering under an endless sky. The painting is both a memory and a promise, carrying the hope of brighter days, warmer breezes, and a world in full bloom.
