Eye of the Earth

In Greece, there is a talisman against the evil eye — perhaps you’ve seen it in souvenir shops, its deep blue eye staring back at you.

Growing up, I wasn’t drawn to it. But now, far from home and longing for Greece, I find comfort in anything that connects me to that beautiful country.

This painting is my abstract interpretation of the talisman. Like the original, it carries a protective energy, inviting the viewer — and your home — to feel safe, grounded, and shielded from negativity.
